About Me

Jennifer Reaves was a preacher’s kid/missionary’s kid who spent her formative years on the island of Taiwan.  As an adult she was drawn to traveling and was fortunate to experience many cultures. Through all these travels she was able to experience many different kinds of art expression.

Jennifer Studied Art at Freed Hardeman University. Her decision to study the arts and focus on painting was an easy decision.  It was the joy that it gave her to capture limitless possibilities of beauty and the talent that God instilled in her. Her desire is to continue creating new paintings full of light and vibrance and meaning. She feels called that this is one of the purposes God has for her. Her ultimate desire is that her paintings will instill a sense of hope and lead people to God.

Jennifer’s main medium is oils. She has been working with oils for over 30 years. She prefers to paint on canvas, though she was trained to paint on wood and masonite. She uses professional quality Gamblin paints. Her main styles of painting are realism and impressionism.
